Dr. Gráinne H. Kirwan
I am a chartered psychologist (British Psychological Society) and a lecturer, researcher and author in the area of cyberpsychology. I am a member of the Irish Psychologists Registration Board, managed by CORU (Ireland’s multi-profession health regulator – www.coru.ie).
My particular areas of interest include cybercrime, online health/support seeking, and the psychological applications of virtual reality. Among my publications are several books in the area of cyberpsychology and cybercrime.
I lecture in IADT on the MSc in Cyberpsychology (to our knowledge – the first one in the world – established September 2007) and our undergraduate BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology. I teach on several modules, including Forensic Psychology, Cyberpsychology, Computer Mediated Communication, and the Psychology of Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence.
